I am a 31 years old scientist whose life goals doesn’t align with academia anymore. I am currently actively learning swedish within Komvux program and recently passed the D level (european B1/B2 level). I have at heart to contribute to Västerbottens region and participate to meaningful work here in Umeå’s fast growing life-science ecosystem.
I have at heart a service approach and have a facilitator profile. Academia taught me many important things, among them is the fact that brilliant scientists often collaborate together but never really work together — Even within the same research group ! I indeed miss true collaboration to reach a common goal with a team. To be able to see the result of our effort in shorter terms than in academia.
I have 6 years of experience in project management and experimentation, I settled in Umeå 2 years ago with my Swedish partner. Skilled in method development in molecular biology and biochemistry, experimental design, and workflow optimization. I have an interest in informatics and AI, which I try to implement with my colleagues to help them work more efficiently. I am a team player with a strong commitment to impactful, solution-oriented work, and I excel at connecting the dots and finding relevant information to support my colleagues. While my background is rooted in project management and hands-on experimentation, my co-workers describe me as a “fixer mindset”: someone who enjoys finding the best solutions for collaborators by removing bottlenecks, offering clear guidance, and effectively connecting the dots which supported their success.
